Mirones spoke at the opening of the IV International Congress of Tourist Quality, which is being held for the first time in Latin America and gathers today in Cali (southwest) about 500 businessmen, experts and delegates of the tourism sector of Spain and Colombia.

During the fourth edition of the congress, the Attendees can participate in eight working groups on tourism, peace and development, gastronomic tourism, keys for the management of tourist flows, collaborative economy, industries creative and sustainable development, among others.

Mirones said that after the conference, which will conclude tomorrow, is also expected to "complete the talks" between the ICTE, the Mayor of Cali and the Government of the department of Valle del Cauca, and launch the pilot project of the tourist quality system, which they have been developing together.

The executive He explained that with this project they hope to "turn Cali and the Cauca Valley into national and Ibero-American reference of tourist quality", to guarantee travelers products and services tourism that meet expectations and quality standards.

For its part, the governor of Valle del Cauca, Dilian Francisca Toro, told Efe that this event is an opportunity to highlight also the tourist potential of the city, the department, the Colombian Pacific and its inhabitants.
