Whitefish confirms that the Government of P.Rico paid "enough" to restore the light

San Juan, Nov 23 (EFE) .- Whitefish Energy, a company that won a controversial contract to lift the power line of Puerto Rico after the passage of hurricane Maria in September, confirmed today that the Electric Power Authority (AEE) made a "sufficient" payment of a debt of 83 million dollars.

As reported by the US company today in a statement press, on the afternoon of yesterday, Wednesday, the AEE "made a payment to Whitefish Energy that was enough to show the good faith objective" of the company to pay the company and its subcontractors for the work done.

Whitefish added that proudly this morning he resumed critical work on the 50900 transmission line, which will complete a "loop", which combined with previous repairs of lines 50100 and 50200, will allow PREPA to manage the flow of energy from the south to the north of the island and create redundancy for the centers of demand from the north, including the city of San Juan.

González clarified that PREPA has received invoices by Whitefish Energy for an amount close to 25 million dollars and that amount has been already paid 13 million dollars.

So far, and according to the official website of the local government, status.pr, the Electric Power Authority has managed to "energize" 51.40% of the customers.
