The president of Brazil confirms his attendance at the WTO conference in Buenos Aires

Brazilian President Michel Temer will participate on December 10 at the opening ceremony of the Ministerial Conference to be held by the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Buenos Aires, the Presidency informed today.

Rio de Janeiro, November 9 (EFE) .- The Brazilian president, Michel Temer, will participate on December 10 at the opening ceremony of the Ministerial Conference that will have the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Buenos Aires, the Presidency reported today.

The Brazilian head of state accepted the invitation made by his Argentine counterpart, Mauricio Macri, to participate in the opening ceremony of the important meeting of the WTO in Buenos Aires, where Brazil hopes that a free trade agreement between Mercosur and the Union can be announced European.

The WTO Ministerial Conference, the most important decision-making body of the organization, will meet between December 10 and 13 in Buenos Aires to define agreements that have been negotiated for several months in areas such as food security and fisheries subsidies.

WTO Ministerial Conferences are held every two years and in the interval the decisions are taken by the ambassadors of the 164 member countries accredited to the organization in Geneva.
