In the July-September quarter, the agricultural sector stood out, with a positive variation of 7.1%, explained the DANE in a statement.

Likewise, the performance of the financial system was highlighted, which grew by 3.2%.

The three subsectors that comprise it had positive variation: financial intermediation and services (6.8%), real estate services and rental of housing (2.7%) and services to companies (0.4%).

Other sectors such as electricity and they also rebounded, at 1.9% and 1.4%, respectively.

On these results, Finance Minister Mauricio Cárdenas highlighted that the figures confirm, "once again, that it has already passed. the worst "and pointed out that this year the economy of the country will grow by 1.8%.

" We overcome the most difficult moment and the economy is in a process of recovery ", said the official in a statement released by his office, anticipating that for the fourth quarter of this year a growth of 2.5% is expected.

In the third quarter, the sectors that presented a negative balance were 0.6% industry and mining and construction 2.1%.
