Lima, Nov 20 (EFE) .- Peru is "full" of opportunities for Spanish companies, particularly in infrastructures and in the development of "strategic projects" in a country with the Spain also maintains "close and fluid relations", affirmed today the Minister of Development of the European country, Íñigo de la Serna.

In an interview with Efe in Lima, at the beginning of a official tour of Peru and Colombia aimed at strengthening the "institutional contact" with both countries and dealing with the Spanish business community that works there, the minister stressed the will of continue to deepen an already close relationship and offer all the possibilities of Spanish companies to contribute to the development of the Andean country.

"Peru has difficulties as other countries may have, but this is a great country and has a great economic and financial capacity, with a very low level of debt, with GDP growth spectacular, has all the requirements for growth to go hand in hand with infrastructure development (...) and what companies (Spanish) show is that ingredients are there so that we can continue to give impulse, "he said.

Precisely De la Serna started his visit with a meeting with Spanish companies based in the country, a place where "they feel comfortable" and where they see "opportunities" that can be answered by their varied capacities.

"I think there is full agreement between the companies that the government Peruvian does everything it can to promote strategic projects (...). in which they have something to say and contribute, "he said.

In that sense, the minister pointed out that the message he will transfer to the Peruvian authorities will simply be" a request for that they continue trusting as they already do in Spanish companies ", that in Peru they have already given" a good example of effective and efficient management "and with a high degree of" social responsibility "

Thus, De la Serna said that during the day of today a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between both countries, whose content will be "very broad", to streamline relations in public works issues, particularly in the area of advice and consultancy.
