Mexico, Nov 16 (EFE) .- Strengthening investments and identifying opportunities in the contract sector -architecture and infrastructure decoration- focused the meeting held today between a delegation of the Xunta de Galicia and representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Mexico.
Headed by the Mexican Secretary of Economy, Ildefonso Guajardo, and the counselor of Economy, Employment and Industry of Galicia, Francisco Conde, the meeting was framed in the trip that a twenty entrepreneurs of that Spanish region make these days for the country Latin American.
"We transferred to the secretary the possibility of continuing to collaborate to open opportunities between Mexican and Galician investors," Conde told Efe after the meeting, held in Mexico City.
The case of the auto parts company of Galician origin Viza was exposed, which involved an investment of 12 million euros (14.12 million dollars) in the central state of Puebla.
Viza, who arrives in Mexico thanks to a contract with Volkswagen, will provide the German firm with the seat armors of the Jetta model at around 250,000. vehicles.
The counselor said that the intention of the Viza plant, for which he made a trip yesterday, has a "vocation of permanence to get other contracts from other manufacturers that are operating in Mexico. "
Also on investments, Conde advanced that in Galicia a specific day will be organized to identify opportunities bilateral in this area.
Galicia currently exports 500 million euros (about 590 million dollars) to Mexico, 48% of its sales to Latin America.
Likewise, the region maintains consolidated links with Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Uruguay and Chile; cultural and historical point of view.
On the other hand, regarding the contract sector, Guajardo transferred to the Galician delegation that there are "Mexican companies that are being very advanced in the scope of design, interior design ", which is an" opportunity "to put companies from both sides in contact and thus create areas of collaboration.

After his visit to the plant Viza, the delegation held a meeting with the director of the Mexican Association of the Automotive Industry (AMIA), Fausto Cuevas.
In it, collaboration opportunities were reviewed of the Technological Center of Galicia with the automotive industry in Mexico.
The counselor will also participate in an event that celebrates the tenth anniversary of the Mexican Union of Gallegos Businessmen (Umegal), and tomorrow will end his trip to the country after a meeting at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.
