Beijing, Nov 17 (EFE) .- The Chinese automaker BYD and the Argentine province of La Rioja signed an agreement to provide the public transport system of that region Northwest with 50 electric buses, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

The bus fleet is part of a program to introduce new energy solutions that Authorities of La Rioja and BYD signed on Thursday at the High Technology Fair in Shenzhen (southern China).

The program will also include the installation of storage systems for batteries and solar modules.

The Argentine province is launching a program of development of solar and wind energy, while BYD, specializing in electric vehicles and wind Hybrids, has already introduced its electric buses in 20 cities in fifty countries.

The High Technology Fair of Shenzhen, "technological capital" of China, is one of the main appointments of the sector in the Asian giant.
